After I quoted a price to a customer some time ago, the customer casually asked what is the difference between engraved and stamped EVA linings?
At that time, I simply explained it to the customer in terms of positioning, shape and price.
First of all, the engraved EVA lining is positioned more advanced. Usually, when the product to be packaged belongs to the advanced positioning, the engraved one will highlight its value. Because the lining produced by engraving will have better quality and consistency in terms of individual;
In addition, engraving usually adopts an integrated molding processing method, so it works better on some multi-layered and complex linings, while stamping requires layered stamping and later splicing, which is difficult to align one by one.
There is also a difference in price. For some simple shapes and when there is sufficient demand, the price advantage of stamping will be more obvious, because when a set of molds can produce more products, the mold cost can be ignored.
To sum up briefly, the processing method to be used depends on the product positioning and the cost. Both methods have their own advantages.
