When we buy things, of course we like to buy things that are clean. For the product packaging lining, of course we also require it to be clean and without burrs. This is a very common requirement, but for many manufacturers, it is not easy to make EVA lining products without burrs. If it is cut with a knife, it is okay. After all, as long as the knife is sharp enough, the cut product will be smooth and flat. However, the knife cutting process can only cut the product into pieces, and other shapes are to be glued together with glue. Of course, the die cutting process can also be used, which can also reduce burrs, but this can only be shaped on one plane.
If you want to form it in one piece and at the same time meet the requirements of fitting with the product, and multiple accessories are neatly distributed and arranged, then only mold injection molding or engraving production is available. EVA foam is a relatively soft material, and if it is injected with a mold, there will be more burrs on the edge, or water edges. If you want to achieve a clean and simple shape, then engraving is currently the best solution.
And because of the material, if the speed of the equipment is too slow during processing, many fine burrs will be produced, which need to be cut off little by little with scissors later, so the high quality and consistency of the EVA inner tray products cannot be guaranteed. If the speed is too fast, the product will be burned hard due to the heat of the equipment. The speed is closely related to the shape of the product. How to produce EVA foam products that are the same as the 3D drawings is a problem that tests technology and experience.
