We have many customers who have confirmed the proofing, but have not placed orders. We contacted the customer to confirm that the project is real. Follow-up contact confirmed that there is no problem with the quality of the sample. But there is no order. The customized production of Dongguan EVA foam is basically concentrated in a few places. Many factories know each other, and we found that the products we proofed before have been produced in another factory.
Of course, it is the customer’s freedom to choose who to be his supplier. When the customer comes back to us for inquiry again, we still quote the customer normally. When the customer needs proofing, we also provide customers with high-quality samples as always. When chatting, we asked the customer:
— “You have shipped the products that were proofed before, what is the reason for not being able to cooperate? Would you like to share it?”
— “The main reason is that your unit price is too high compared to others!”
— “How does the quality of their production compare with ours?”
— “The quality cannot be compared with yours, but the budget is relatively low, so we can only choose the cheaper one.”
Some friends may ask, why don’t you lower the quality standards to reduce the unit price and get orders? This is a good question. As a factory, we also need more orders and more profits. However, as an enterprise with aspirations, we want to make products with better quality. While maintaining high quality, we can reduce the production cost by improving our own technology, rather than reducing the process and using low-quality raw materials.
This is a very large market. Some customers don’t care much about quality and just want to use it, but there are also customers who pursue high quality. It can only be said that the market positioning is different, and there is no right or wrong in this.
